For some years now Barrier has been a leader in the use of the ‘black box’ technique of steel preparation and coating, bringing to bear large resources of manpower and plant to reduce the programme time on fabricated modules, save costs and release large areas of work to other trades. This technique has been used to jointly manage the application of sprayed fire protection and corrosion coatings, providing long life systems.
By training in-house to internationally recognised standards, Barrier has developed multi-skilled teams, who, using equipment designed and built in-house, carry out safe and economical projects with epoxy intumescent and metallisation coatings. The standards of training are so high the company now has an approved status as a training school from the leading epoxy intumescent fireproofing coatings and metal spraying manufacturers.
The company operates from strategically placed facilities for the offshore industry in the UK and Holland and can handle large volumes of steelwork and pipework coating with special capability in lifting, transport and expediting.
Barrier can also take responsibility for environmental habitats, scaffolding and export packaging.
